High Speed Medical Braiding System

Kyoritsu Co., Ltd.
Kyoritsu Co., Ltd. is a Japanese professional manufacturer of high speed medical braiding systems and machines. Braiding machines are used to create internal reinforcement for rubber hoses, electrical wire isolation or reinforcement, automotive and electrical wires.

Kyoritsu uses their braiding machines in the manufacturing of medical catheters. A catheter is a thin, soft resin tube used in the medical industry that can be used to insert into body to inject chemicals or drain body fluids.
Catheters used in blood vessels are reinforced with wires. Vasodilator stent balloons and coils for occlusion are delivered to the affected area through a catheter. The wire reinforcement is done using a braiding machine.
Types of Medical Braiding Systems

Medical braiding machines are used to create internal reinforcement for catheters by knitting threads and wires (metal/resin) around a core material in a tubular shape. Braiding is done using the two methods: The Maypole method which allows for a large variety of applications and the Rotary method which is geared for high speed braiding, as well allowing for a large variety of applications. Kyoritsu is a leading manufacturer of high-speed rotary braiding machines.

High Speed Braiding Models
Kyoritsu has a variety of braiding machines for different purposes but focusing on medical braiding machines models: 16MF-FX II and 16LCR-FX II. The difference between these two systems is wire diameter and tension options.
16MF-FX II: Recommended for cores of φ3.0 or less and wire tension of 50cN or less.
Specifications: 16MFS-Braider_R1

16LCR-FX II: Recommended for cores of φ4.0 or less and wire tension of 50cN or more.
Specifications: 16LCR-braider_R1
