Technical details
FoilSTAR represents an attractive alternative everywhere where direct laser marking is not possible. The use of laser marked foils particularly lends itself in areas where issues of counterfeit protection and durability leave no room for compromise. The FoilSTAR 300 enables practically all the features of direct laser marking to be transferred onto foils, thus making fast, precise and high-quality markings possible. The FoilSTAR can accommodate rolls of foil up to a total length of 300 mm and width of 120 mm. The system is able to transport both continuous material and pre-punched labels in label operation mode. For continuous paper, the laser can cut out any desired shape of label. The FoilSTAR 300 is equipped with a cutter as standard for the complete removal of family sheets.
Accessories
A laser smoke extractor is required when operating the FoilSTAR. ACI Laser GmbH offers various extraction systems. An automatic coiler is also optionally available.
Fields of application
The FoilSTAR can be combined with all ACI lasers. The system is typically used for large quantities.
Software
The marking software MagicMark used with the FoilSTAR enables the marking of texts, graphics, codes such as Data Matrix or barcodes, serial numbers and logos. An intelligent rights management system enables the establishment of different operator groups, thus allowing customisation of the system to the user’s individual requirements. Even automatic operation with independent data exchange to different data sources is possible without any problems. The MagicMark marking software is included in the scope of the laser delivery.
